MA Hydraulics expands
Published:  05 September, 2017

MA Hydraulics recently held a customer and partner Open Day to celebrate the expansion of its premises, having acquired an additional industrial unit next door to its existing one on the Ashley Estate in Scunthorpe.

Over the past few months, the company has been busily adjusting the internal layout of both units, and now benefits from substantially expanded warehouse capacity in the form of a new free-standing 300 sq m upper-level mezzanine area in the new industrial unit, more office, improved demonstration space and a larger reception area. The company is also currently looking to turn the front portion of its previous unit into a convenient trade counter to serve its local and visiting client base. The new extended premises will also provide the company with the ability to employ more staff as the business continues to expand. During the Open Day, MA Hydraulics also exhibited its new MIA-FD flow divider in a purpose-built demonstration rig.

MA Hydraulics was formed in 1994 and during its early years operated primarily as a regional distributor for UK-sourced hydraulic system components. Since then, the company has maintained a steady growth and has evolved into a well-regarded force in sourcing and distributing a wide range of mobile and Industrial hydraulic pumps, valves and allied components. MA Hydraulics is the exclusive UK agent for a number of European and worldwide manufacturers.

Duncan Rhoades, MA Hydraulics’ operations director, said that, with the newly expanded premises and a continuing expanded range of products, the company now has the resources to compete on a national level, with quality, trusted established ranges of competitively priced equipment.

Speedy delivery for customers

He added that, because the lead time for the delivery of products from Europe and further afield can take several weeks, the new mezzanine storage space will be invaluable in ensuring the company can place larger orders with its supplies and stock large volumes of product without difficulty, thus ensuring MA Hydraulics’ end customer can take speedy delivery of a wide range of parts and equipment either directly from the store on the same day, or by order for next-day delivery.

Over the past few years, the company has expanded its product offering, supplying a wide range of hydraulic pumps, valves and motors manufactured by leading companies such as Vivoil, Luen, OMT, Oleoweb, Borelli and Hydronit.

MA Hydraulics has also launched a newly designed and fully updated website; www.mahydraulics.co.uk
